This theatre was built by Mann Theatres and sold to Edwards Cinemas one day after it opened its doors. The theatre was operated by Edwards Cinemas as a first-run theatre and then later as a second-run theatre until 2000. The theatre was then purchased by Captain Blood's Family Theatres and operated again as a first-run theatre. In 2006, the theater is operated by Starplex Cinemas as a discount house.
