Information for this tour was contributed by Kacee Quintana. The Harris Theatre was opened by one Mr. Harris, whose son now owns the Century Cinema 5. The Harris is located a block away from the Burley Theatre, also owned by Harris. The Harris was distinctive with its pink tile facade with "Harris" in neon block letters and a small overhang with a one-line marquee.
The Harris showed mostly Spanish language films, with the occasional B-movie when the Century and Burley were full of mainstream product. The Harris closed in the mid-1990s when Mr. Harris expanded his Century Cinemas into a five-plex. The old Harris is now a store with no indication that it was ever a movie theatre.
