Information for this tour was contributed by Konrad Schiecke.

The Town Hall in Hanover, located on Monroe Street, was built in 1848. It was the place where, in 1861, President Grant gave his first big speech. In 1936, a booth was installed and it became a movie theatre called the Dreamland with 200 folding chairs. In 1939, the Dreamland was renamed the Town Hall and continued to operate to some time in the 1960s. The building still stands as a Town Hall.
