Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. The Arco may not have operated as a theater for long; my city-directory sightings are confined to 1921 alone. However, I do know that it was one of many local theaters founded by Orrin T. Crawford and later run by the St. Louis Amusement Company (which had grown out of Famous Players). It was the SLAC that sold the building to one Bertha R. Winfrey in 1942; by this time it had been occupied for years by the Lindell Moving and Storage Co.
