Information for this tour was contributed by Carroll H. Rasch.

This theater is located near the intersection of France Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue just beyond the western edge of Minneapolis. It is just inside a neighborhood that used to have its own identity and was called Morningside. The suburb of Edina absorbed it.

In the pictures you can see the entry minus the wonderful canopy of bulbs and colors. You would enter and the auditorium was angled off to the left at about 110 degrees. The auditorium is still there and is now filled with laundry and dry cleaning equipment.

The Westgate played "Harold and Maude" for what seemed like an endless run.
