The Tower opened in 1940 as a movie house with no stage. After closing in the 1980s, the theater was donated to the City of Roseville and is leased to the Magic Circle Theatre, which also operates in the Roseville Theatre up the street. The Tower has been converted into a 270-seat theatre-in-the-round and reopened to the public on September 19, 2003, with a production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!"
