Information for this tour was contributed by Daniel Gibbs. Rehoboth's "big" theatre was the Blue Hen. (If you're wondering about the name, the Delaware state bird is the Blue Hen -- also the mascot of U of D.) The theatre opened in 1916 and was enlarged and modified several times. Its success faded a little in the 1950s and 1960s. In about 1962, it got a completely new facade and was renamed the Beachwood. The current facade is the one that was built for the Beachwood, with minor alteration.
