Information for this tour was contributed by Grant Smith. The St. George Cinema 6 Theatres opened in 1984. [1]
In 2004, Westates Theatres spend $500,000 remodeling the Cinema 6 with stadium seating, digital sound, and new projectors. The theater remained open during the renovation, which began after Labor Day and was scheduled to be completed in mid-November 2004. The project was necessary because of low attendance at the theater following the popularity of the new Sunset Corner Stadium 8. [2]
"The people are crying out for stadium seating," said Lois Blackburn, area manager for Westates. "It's very popular." [2]
