Information for this tour was contributed by Grant Smith. The Gateway 8 was originally planned as a 6-screen theater and was scheduled to open 1 June 1993. Following the opening of the new multiplex three other theaters in the area closed - the Queen (also operated by Consolidated Theaters), the Sandcastle (a 2-screen discount theater), and Trolly North (a triplex owned by Westates Theaters.)
