Information for this tour was contributed by Daniel Gibbs. The Homewood opened in 1946 and closed in the mid-1980s. The theatre is completely intact, and was used intermittently as a church. In 1998, an entrepreneur attempted to open it as a showcase for African-American cinema, but closed within months. Currently a Korean businessman controls the theatre and occasionally opens it to show Korean-language films.
