The Grand was renamed the Empire on January 11, 1904. The theater was acquired by Karl Hoblitzelle in 1905 and extensively remodeled and renamed the Majestic, reopening on November 6 with a full vaudeville set and ending with a film.

This first Majestic continued to operate after the 1910 Majestic opened, but burned down a few years later and was not rebuilt.
