The Biograph was opened in 1972 by the owners of the Biograph Theater in Washington, DC.

Richmond's Biograph closed in 1987. The Grace Street Cinema lasted about a year, like 1993-94 (but that's a guess). The building is now in the process of being renovated to be a restaurant of sorts. It's probably close to being finished.
