The Circle Theatre was built in 1928 and used for silent films and vaudeville acts. Bob Fridley remodeled the theatre and reopened it as The Camelot on October 9, 1969, with a parade through the streets of downtown Nevada led by the the high school band. True Grit was on the marquee that day. The theatre closed on March 15, 2001, with Recess: School's Out.
