Information for this tour was contributed by Scott Norwood.

Built as a tribute to Benjamin Franklin Keith by his business partner, E. F. Albee, the Keith's Memorial is one of the finest theaters designed by Thomas W. Lamb. In Memorial Hall, the central foyer, a marble staircase leads to a landing where a bust of Keith once stood. In addition to the main entrance on Washington Street, a second entrance was placed on the heavily-traveled Tremont Street.

In the late 1970s, the theater became the Opera House. More recently, a restaurant filled the Tremont Street entry hall.
