The National Amusements-owned Super Cinemas Davenport opened as the Quad Cities' first real multiplex in 1990. Located next door to the now-parking-lot Oasis Drive-In, the theatre did great business until NA opened the Showcase Cinemas 53 and ended its life as a dismal discount house. Photos
