Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Felthous. The 11-screen Pacific Place Cinema sits atop Seattle's newest downtown shopping mall. The largest auditorium has about 600 seats, a 68-foot curved screen and is THX-certified. The other rooms are smaller and vary in size. All have stadium seating. Pacific Place is the only cinema in Seattle to serve alcohol, in its "Tower Cafe," which also sells light food. The entrance and main lobby are supposed to resemble a "Northwest hunting lodge," a quaint notion on the part of the Massachusetts-based General Cinema that is cause for amusement by locals.
