Information for this tour was contributed by Ron Andrews. The Edwards Brea 22 is located in the Birch Street Promenade, a shopping area with shops, restaurants and loft apartments. It was designed to give you the feeling that you are on Main Street of an American city, perhaps in the 1940s. The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment gave to the city of Brea an “Award of Excellence” for this work. The cinemas are in two different buildings. The Eastside 12 art deco theater opened in 1997, and a short walk down the block, the Westside 10 streamline moderne theater, opened in 1998.
