This early cinema was an early casualty to the nearby Empress Electric and the Angel Picture Theatre which both opened in 1913. The Electric became briefly 'North's Automatic Exhibition', presumably a sort of amusement parlour and later it became a shop, for many years an antique shop. Recently it has become a restaurant.
