Information for this tour was contributed by Klaus Weber. The Outpost was built by the American Allies after World War II inside a military area. The architecture is typical of British cinemas in the 1930s. The main floor had 750 seats, 178 more were in the balcony. In 1994, American soldiers marched off and the area was transformed in the Allies-museum. The Outpost is now a part of it. Another cinema for Americans was the Columbia, located directly by Tempelhof airport.
Es wurge nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg von amerikanischen Allierten in einem Militärareal erbaut. Die Architektur erinnert an britische Kinobauten der 30er - Jahre. Im Parkett befanden sich 750 Sitze, 178 weitere waren im Ranggeschoss. 1994 wurde das Areal in ein Museum umgewandelt und das Outpost mit einbezogen. Ein weiteres Kino für amerikanische Allierte war das Columbia direkt am Flughafen Tempelhof. Photos
