Information for this tour was contributed by Bernard Tonks. This theatre opened in 1910 as the Picture Playhouse. It was closed during World War 2 by the government for use as a store for coffins & potatoes. It was later renamed Playhouse, then Classic and converted to 3 screens. Later renames include Cannon, MGM, and ABC. The theatre closed in 2001 and has been demolished.
