The Apollo Victoria was designed by E. Wamsley Lewis and W.E. Trent in 1930. In 1979, it became a theatre. After playing various shows, it was totally transformed for the performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Starlight Express. After almost 20 years playing, Starlight's last show was in January 2002. Capacity is now 1524 seats, but it seated 2786 in its movie days.
