The Rex Drive-In in Cranbrook, BC, was open as late as 1998, and rightly so. In this Rocky Mountain tourism paradise, and though now closed, it could live on for a long time yet. The reason is that the screen seems to have been maintained as a storage facility (like many towers, it is a large enclosed structure) for the metal fabrication business now sitting on the lot. Drive-ins that made it through the lean years should have been able to make it. Guess the owner got yet another offer he couldn't refuse. Too bad, this small theatre has some great mountain views, probably greatly missed ...
