Information for this tour was contributed by Jason Morrison. One of 3 theatres located on Charlotte Street in downtown Sydney. Built in 1939 this single screen Art Deco theatre showed movies until 1999 when it closed for good. The building sat vacant for 10 years with various community groups trying to save the building. The last attempt to save the building failed in 2007, the building was purchased by a developer and the theatre was demolished in April 2008 to make way for an office building. The architect of the Vogue was Herbert G. Duerr. The seating capacity originally was 1075 seats however over the year seats were removed to provide more leg room with the final number at closure being around 650.
