Information for this tour was contributed by Andrew McCrea. The Capitol Theatre opened on February 14, 1921 as one of Famous Player’s first picture palaces and treasures. It closed on September 3, 1990 with Arachnophobia, and sat for six years through blizzard freezes and summer thaws. Due to this, the basement flooded from sewer back up and a leaky foundation.
