Information for this tour was contributed by Ken Roe. Named after the constellation Orion, the theatre was known as the Orion - "theatre of the stars". It was taken over by Greater Union in 1953 but was operating on a reduced opening policy of just Friday and Saturday evening only prior to closing. The building was converted in to a market hall but in more recent years it has been a community centre for the area. In 1988 the Wurlitzer organ from the Capitol Theatre in Sydney was installed here and concerts are given.
