Information for this tour was contributed by Graeme Edwards-Kroot. There has been a cinema on this site for more than 75 years - Embassy/Odeon (1,493 seats owned by Greater Union) was replaced by a new modern mixed-used building in 1988 that comprises residential, offices, restaurants and cinemas that overlooks Sydney Harbour and is located opposite the ferry terminal.
The new incarnation was built for Greater Union but they leased the cinema to David Lloyd and never actually operated the business themselves. Graeme Edwards-Kroot bought the cinemas in 2006 and has plans to expand to 5 screens. The current policy is a mix of arthouse and selected mainstream films. Photos
