The 1050 seat Holiday Theatre opened in November 1950. According to the 1951 Theatre Catalog, this shopping-center cinema made "unusual" use of recorded music in the lobby; there was also a fireplace.

In 1980, Classic Cinemas started managing it and changed the name to Park Forest. In 1990, the theater was twinned to a 374-seat and 276-seat theater. The original balcony was cut in half with 150 seats each. In 1993, a fifth screen was added in the store below the balcony.
