When the Grand Theater closed, the old marquee was enclosed in plywood and painted blue. It remained over the front door until razing began; then it was torn off and plopped down next to the alley. Some of the plywood came off in the scuffle, revealing a red-white-and-blue GRAND marquee that hadn't seen daylight in probably 40 years. |
